Share the Work of a Child

To Be Considered for Showcasing in Our Creative Children's Blog
Adults

TVCCC recognizes the insightful and creative minds of the children in our community. Children express their true thoughts and beliefs about themselves and the world through child-led work. This form of self-expression is free from adult direction, control, and interruption.

By acknowledging and publishing the work of children in our community, we can instill power into the voices of our youngest citizens. We can use actions instead of words to show the children in our community that we care and we are listening. We can show them that we recognize their work as important and valuable, not despite their child status, but because of it. Children hold unique and insightful perspectives as "here-and-now" problem solvers and visionaries.

We all play a crucial role in supporting the children of our community in becoming active and engaged citizens. TVCCC and the Creative Children's Blog are here to help families begin that journey.

Visit our Adults Resource page to learn more about Child Rights and how we can best support our youngest citizens. While they are our future, we are their now, and now is what matters most.

Children

Have you created something that you are proud of? We want to see it! At Treasure Valley Creative Children's Collaborative, we know that you have amazing talents, skills, and ideas that inspire other children and adults in your community. That is why we invented the Creative Children's Blog. This is a space for children that only showcases children's work.

If you would like to be involved in our Children's Blog, you can start by sharing something that you have created! The only rule is that it's your work and your ideas! It is okay if you had an adult help you when you needed it; as a child, you have a right to ask for help!

We want to see the work that is special to you! Here are some examples of works you can share with us!

  • Drawings, Paintings, and Photographs

  • Poem, Stories, Songs, and Scripts

  • Blueprints and Designs

  • Sculptures, Buildings, and Inventions

  • Forts, Hideaways, Fairy Gardens, and Special Places

  • Sewing, Crochet, and Knitting

  • Dances and Performances

  • Animation and Stop-Motion Videos

These are just some ideas to get you started. We can't wait to see what you have created and what you choose to share with the other children in your community.
