Piper Malibu Jackson

Founder, Creator, and Curator

Hello! My name is Piper, and I am an early childhood educator and child rights advocate. I earned my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Montana in 2024, and I am currently pursuing my M.Ed. in Early and Special Education at Boise State University. I am passionate about fostering inclusive communites and empowering the voices of our youngest citizens.

My family moved to the Treasure Valley when I was three, and I've called Idaho home ever since. From the quiet farmlands of Notus to the bustling streets of Boise, I have been fortunate to experience the strong sense of community and meaningful connections that make this corner of Idaho so special.

Why is TVCCC here?

"In my work as an educator and supporting families of children with disabilities, I have witnessed firsthand how children's voices are often diminished or overlooked simply because they are children.

I created TVCCC to shine a light on the bright and creative minds of the children in my community. My goal is to foster a space where children are recognized for their talents, ideas, and perspectives. and where their voices are heard, valued, and respected. "

How did TVCCC begin?

The creation of TVCCC was inspired by a Leadership and Advocacy Course that asked our founder to create a significant project to advocate for the children in her community.

Around this time, Piper was introduced to the Story Pirates Podcast. What makes this podcast special is that parents can submit stories written by their children for a chance to be read and performed by the hosts of the show, which is listened to by children all around the world. When a child Piper knows submitted a story, and it was selected and read aloud on podcast, she saw the confidence and power that form of recognition instilled in the child. She was inspired by the work they do and began creating TVCCC, to bring that same confidence and power to the children in her community.

Where is TVCCC going?

Our goal at TVCCC is to reach families and children across the Treasure Valley to foster an informed and engaged community of young citizens.

We can't do this alone! Together we can all work to build a community where each child knows their rights, and is given space and power to exercise them.
